Jiu Jitsu, the "gentle art" is an amazing self defense for men, women, and kids. It builds the skills needed to protect yourself against a bigger opponent without the use of brute force. Our gentle art can deeply benefit those that have experienced trauma in the past. It is a powerful tool to help heal your mind. Through jiu jitsu, you build self defense, create quality friendships, strengthen your spirituality through knowledge of the mind, body, and soul. Jiu Jitsu provides an opportunity to improve yourself, physically and mentally while being surrounded in an environment where individuals can grow, build confidence, and discover their potential. 

Jiu Jitsu is a great stress reliever. As with any form of exercise, your brain will release endorphins into your body that can make you feel good. This regularly, can help with stress and anxiety. It can help shift your focus requiring you to be present to gather the skills, apply the techniques, while valuing patience. Losing weight and increasing flexibility are a side effect of your commitment to training. You will be part of a strong uplifting community with people that encourage and support one another. 

You can expect to improve your fitness, health, and overall well being at The LA Jiu Jitsu Club with the guidance of our instructors. 

COMPETITION TRAINING 

Practicing Jiu Jitsu can be rewarding on its own. However, competing in jiu jitsu will help push you to your limits, improving your mind and skills in the process. Our instructor has competed at the highest level, nationally and internationally. They have been showcased on Fight2Win, Finishers Sub-Only, Eddie Bravo Invitational, IBJJ world championships and UWW Grappling. They have been featured in media and print and have gone on to create their own students/champions who are currently competing at the highest levels around the world, but call The LA Jiu Jitsu Club home. Challenge your abilities and take them to the next level!
